Welcoming Our First Group of Volunteers

Sukhavati Temple has always been a place of quiet reflection. But recently, it was filled with a different kind of energy—laughter, teamwork, and new friendships. We welcomed our first group of volunteers who traveled from nearby villages and even abroad. Together, they helped clear overgrown paths, paint temple walls, and assist with meal preparation for the monks. The experience was deeply moving for all involved. It showed us how collective effort, fueled by compassion, can bring powerful transformation to both people and place.

A New Chapter Begins: Restoring the Buddha Hall

After years of silence, the Buddha Hall at Sukhavati Temple is beginning to rise again. Once collapsed and covered in overgrowth, this sacred space is now being carefully rebuilt with reverence and purpose. Thanks to early supporters and volunteers, structural clearing has begun, and plans are underway to restore the altar, murals, and meditation space. This hall will soon echo once again with chanting, prayer, and peace—a symbol of resilience and renewal.

Temple Launches Compassionate Orphanage Project

One of the temple’s most important missions is now underway: transforming unused temple buildings into a warm, safe orphanage. Too many children in our region face life without security, education, or emotional support. Our goal is to provide not only basic needs, but a compassionate home infused with Buddhist values—teaching mindfulness, kindness, and inner strength. We invite you to follow our progress and join this mission of sheltering lives and nurturing hearts.
